Decisions
Amber- I've decided to quit Herbal Life. It isn't the program for me. I've decided to do what I know works for me. Document my foods and exercise. I've decided that I will workout at least 3 times a week. Whether that is a walk to the park, on the treadmill or doing some workout video like our P90x I will do something.
I'm not going to do any special diet or eliminate/deprive myself of anything, but I will make better decisions. I am going to focus on smaller portions and increase in fruits and veggies and more water consumption.
I've been really off track all week and weekend and I feel it. I feel bloated, sluggish and just overall gross. Time to focus and get back on track. Here's to a better attitude and out look on this journey.
I wanna shout out that I'm proud of you Kimi for doing so well. You are inspiring me to NOT give up that I too can lose this weight.

New Approach
Amber- I'm thinking I wanna try a new approach. Although I've had a weight lost of 3.4lbs in 1.5 weeks on Herbal Life I'm thinking it isn't the right plan.
Here's my reasons:
1. Easy to "cheat"
2. Haven't eliminated the "bad foods" from my diet
3. Expensive
4. End up snacking or making bad choices on my 1 meal
5. Too much milk, feel bloated
6. Causing some constipation
7. Weight lost seems slow with what little bit of food I do eat
8. Feel sluggish, unmotivated, discouraged
I'm considering trying the South Brach diet. Although, it would be nearly impossible with the life style Jon and I live, I think I want to try. I know it will be an extreme challenge to do it "alone" at home knowing Jon is eating things I can't have, but I want faster results for the bulk at the beginning of this weight loss journey.
I know that sounds selfish and like a terrible reason, but I'm tired of looking at the scale and seeing minimal results.
Tonight is my last night of soda pop. I'm choosing to take it out of my diet. That's my first challenge. Although it is a staple in working graves I'm tired of "needing it".
I'm going to do some more research on what plan might be best for me, but I am leaning towards South Beach even if it is just for the first phase to get some bulk off. Tired of that damn 200+ number. It's time to let it go!
These girls are the reason I'm willing to try anything. I'm ready to be a healthier, fit, energetic Mom forever!!!

Kim's week 2:
Weigh in & Measurements:
Weight: 244 lbs.
Chest: 46 in.
Waist: 46 in.
Hips: 54.25 in.
This was a very hard week for me. I didn't cheat but I craved chocolate like crazy!!! I also wasn't able to workout because I was having my period. (I have horrible periods!!) I also felt really sluggish this week...I think that has a lot to do with no carbs.
I am still proud of the inches lost!
Hoping with workouts and changing to Phase 2 of the South Beach Diet this next week I will be able to loose more weight.

Feeling gross today
Amber- today I'm feeling super fat, bloated and like there has been zero progress. I haven't weighed since Friday and I'm tempted to weigh tomorrow just to check in. I was feeling light and smaller, but today I jut feel as fat as I did 6 days ago. Ahh just another bump in the road I must conquer.

First graveyard on herbal life
Amber-Well last night was my first night working while on this new program. Well, for the most part I did pretty good. I was tempted and gave into some potato chips. I was able to resist the pizza and delicious looking chocolate cake. I was happy with that. I did have my shake for breakfast and a good lunch and a shake before work this evening. I'm a little hungry, but choosing to hydrate with flavored water instead. Working nights is a challenge with food all around and old habits of eating to stay awake, but I am fighting those urges. I even resisted offers of a taste of a milkshake Jon got tonight. That was huge in itself. Well, tomorrow I'll get pics up. I'm already feeling lighter and like my clothes are fitting different. Probably in my head but I feel good!

Weak moment
Amber- well I had a weak moment and gave into a craving. The girls and I went to Baskin Robbins and had ice cream sundays. They sure were yummy, but immediately after I felt gross, sick to my stomach and extremely guilty. Well, I'm hoping that cured the craving and taught me a lesson. At least it was only one scoop and I shared with Lexi, but that's just trying to justify it. It was wrong and now back on track. Not letting the rest of the day go just cause I messed up once.
Kim~
I started the South Beach Diet on Monday (4-23-2012). I am on Phase 1 of the diet or as I like to call it a "Life Change".
I started the South Beach Diet on Monday (4-23-2012). I am on Phase 1 of the diet or as I like to call it a "Life Change".
So far I am really enjoying this "Life Change". My first time weighing in I weighed a whopping 253lbs. I have lost a total of 4 lbs as of yesterday. I have only had one day that I have craved chocolate but nothing like I normally would have had before this. If you know me, you would be shocked to hear that. I also feel full all the time! Never hungry or have munchies. My goal weight is 145lb. I would like to weigh that by next summer. I know I have a lot of work to do! However, I know it will all be worth it!
I have also included workouts into my daily activities. I try and walk/run 2 miles every day along with Total Body Workout that South Beach suggests every other day. As you can see this is a total body makeover, not just a change in eating habits.
Week one
Amber- I started my weigh loss journey on Wednesday. I am following the herbal life plan. I have two meal replacement shakes and one balanced meal and then two snacks. So far I'm really liking it. I've had some major cravings but the slim fast protein bars are helping with my sweet tooth. The first day I dropped 1.4lbs and the second day another 1.4lbs. So in two days I'm down 2.8lbs! Very happy with the results so far. Kim and I decide to do this weight loss journey together. I'm excited to have someone to challenge me. We have decided to only do weekly weigh ins on Fridays. I can't wait to see what a week will bring! Here's to getting skinny!!! Weight loss goal is to be 150lbs before Hawaii in October of 2013!
